Why most tradie websites fail

- Sub-second page load. LCP under 1.5 seconds, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1. Hosted on Vercel edge infrastructure. Images compressed to WebP. Critical CSS inlined. We measure Core Web Vitals before launch and don’t ship until they’re green.
- Suburb landing pages. One page per major service area — e.g. /plumber-carindale, /electrician-holland-park. Each page targets a specific suburb-plus-service search with original content and trade-specific schema. Most tradies launch with 5-10 suburb pages.
- Trade-specific schema markup. LocalBusiness with the correct trade subtype (Plumber, Electrician, GeneralContractor, RoofingContractor, HVACBusiness). Service for each offering with priceRange. AggregateRating wired to Google reviews. Person for the principal tradesperson. BreadcrumbList. All validated via Google Rich Results Test.
- Google Business Profile integration. Reviews pulled into the site, click-to-direct buttons, hours and service areas synced.
- Click-to-call + quote forms wired to your phone and email. Every CTA tracked. Every form submission emailed to you within seconds plus stored as a GA4 conversion.
- Copy that converts. We write trade-specific copy that addresses what your customer is actually thinking (“will they answer the phone”, “will they turn up”, “will it cost a fortune”). You sign off on every word before launch.
- Image optimisation. Photos compressed, served as WebP with JPEG fallback, lazy-loaded below the fold. We source professional imagery where you don’t have your own.

How the build runs
1. Free audit + scoping call (Week 0)
Free 24-hour audit of your current site (or your competitors’ if you don’t have one yet). 30-minute call to agree the sitemap, suburb list, and tier. You get a fixed quote and a delivery date in writing before anything starts.
2. Design + content (Week 1)
We draft the homepage and one service page. You review on a live staging URL — not a PDF. Real device, real load speeds, real interactions. We iterate until you’re happy with the look and tone.
3. Build the rest (Week 2-3)
Once the design template is signed off, we build the remaining pages fast — service pages, suburb pages, about, contact. Schema, GBP integration, forms, and analytics all wired as we go.
4. Launch (Week 3)
We connect the domain, set up hosting, validate all schema and forms, and push live. Then we run Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals tests to confirm the site loads under 1.5s on mobile. If it doesn’t, we don’t launch.
5. First-month review
30 days after launch we send you the first monthly report — phone calls, form submissions, top suburb pages, what’s ranking. Anything not pulling its weight gets fixed.
